To add/remove forensic watermarks and/or overlays via the Watermark section of the File and/or Folder Info submenus.
- To add/remove a hidden forensic watermark, select/deselect the "Apply a hidden forensic watermark to video" checkbox.
- To add/remove a visible overlay (only applies to streaming content, not downloads*), select/deselect "Overlay this content with a visible watermark" checkbox. From there, you can edit the text, location, and color.
We suggest starting with the following overlay settings, based on your content type:
Television Content:
- Text: Property of NBCUniversal. Authorized for @username
- Placement: Bottom Right
- Text Color: #CCCCCC (light grey)
- Background Color: #000000 (black)
- Background Opacity: 0%
- Size: Small
Theatrical Content:
- Text: Property of NBCUniversal. Authorized for @username
- Placement: Rotate Corners
- Text Color: #CCCCCC (light grey)
- Background Color: #000000 (black)
- Background Opacity: 0%
- Size: X-Small
For folders that have content within, the following prompt will appear. This prompt gives you the option to apply changes to all content within by clicking the View Advanced Options link.
NOTE: When we serve a watermarked video to a user, we store the watermark ID and user ID combinations. When we get the watermark ID at some time later, we look up the user ID based on that and any other session information related to it (we store IP address, date/time of the assignment, user agent / app information).
